WINDOW GUARDS

  

Woven wire is the gold standard of protection for any facility where windows must be protected from shattering, break-in, glass breakage and even fire.

These window guards have proven their ability to protect stores, churches, schools, homes and factories nationwide. Window guards are durable, fire-proof and can be made to fit any style of window construction.

WINDOW GUARDS

STANDARD DUTY:
Mesh: 10ga. (.135) steel wire triple crimped and woven into a 1 1/2” diamond mesh, passed through and securely clinched to frame members.
Vertical Frame: 1 1/4" x 5/8" x .080 "C" type steel channel
Horizontal Frame: 1" x 1/2" x 11 ga. steel channel
Horizontal Stiffeners: Two 1" x 3/8" x 1/8" steel channels or
Two 3/4" x 3/8" x 1/8" steel channels
Panel frames mortised and tenoned at corners.
Sub—Frame: 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/8" steel angle full height at each jamb with 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/8" angle clips 2'-0" on center, bolted to sub-frame and attached to masonry reveal with a minimum of 5/16" diameter anchors.

HEAVY DUTY:
Mesh: 6ga. (.192) steel wire triple crimped and woven into a 2" diamond mesh, passed through and securely clinched to frame members.
Vertical Frame: 1 1/2" x 3/4" x 1/8" steel channel
Horizontal Frame: 1 1/2" x 3/4" x 1/8" steel channel
Horizontal Stiffeners: Two 1" x 1/2" x 1/8" steel channels
Panel frames mortised and tenoned at corners.
Sub—Frame: 2" x 2" x 1/8" steel angle full height at each jamb with 2" x 2" x 1/8" angle clips 2'-0" on center, bolted to subframe and attached to masonry reveal with a minimum of 3/8" diameter anchors.
Finish Options: When material is shipped, paint finish may be marred. Field touch-up is normally required. Touch-up paint shall be provided. When special finishes are required, special packaging may be necessary.
